Commercial Lines Account Manager
The Commercial Lines Account Manager plays a critical role in supporting and managing complex commercial lines accounts, with a focus on building, maintaining, and expanding relationships with key clients. This position ensures exceptional service delivery while driving client satisfaction through proactive and innovative communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, managing all client relations and support services.
  • Collaborate with producers and marketing teams to enhance client development, service quality, and sales opportunities.
  • Analyze client exposures and provide tailored recommendations for risk management, insurance coverage, and carrier selection.
  • Design competitive insurance programs, presenting multiple options for client consideration.
  • Negotiate favorable quotes with insurance carriers and bind commercial lines coverage within authorized limits.
  • Proactively manage policy expiration lists to ensure timely renewals and maximize client retention.
  • Prepare and execute policy renewal inquiries, recommending appropriate coverage enhancements.
  • Process client requests and promote additional or improved coverage using effective sales techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about rates, forms, and coverage changes through bulletins and circulars, ensuring all manuals and rating systems are up to date.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an insurance agency or carrier environment.
  • Active Property and Casualty License, including completion of required continuing education (CEUs).
  • Professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, or ARM are strongly preferred.
